Diptych Project: The Two Faces of Celebrity
I'm fascinated by the complexity of being human.
We all have voices in our heads and we have relationships with those voices, as if they were disparate entities. Celebrities are obviously no different. I wanted to see if they would show me some of this duality, however that manifested for themselves: public/private, happy/sad, light/dark, inward/outward. It was left up to them. This was a rare opportunity for these actors to show themselves as they choose to show themselves, not as directed characters in a film. Ultimately, I wanted to give the audience something more than just a photo of a famous person.
